Brief Bio
A seasoned higher education administrator with over 26 years of experience, Darcy
Briggs currently serves as the Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs at South
Dakota Mines. A Higher Learning Commission (HLC) Peer Corps member and an AACRAO Strategic
Enrollment Management endorsed professional, Darcy has a comprehensive understanding
of the higher education landscape. Her extensive background includes leadership roles
in academic advising, admissions, enrollment management, financial aid, institutional
research, and curriculum
development, among other areas. Darcy has a proven track record of successfully leading
departments through organizational change, while maintaining a focus on student and
faculty needs. Prior to her current role, Darcy served as the Associate Dean of Enrollment
Services/Registrar at Arapahoe Community College for 15 years, where she spearheaded
initiatives to improve student success and streamline processes. Throughout her career,
Darcy has demonstrated a commitment to collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
in higher education.
