In this master's program, you select either a geology or geological engineering emphasis. Both thesis and non-thesis tracks are available. An accelerated master's option is also available. You will have access to research centers and labs at the edge of innovation in areas such as energy and mineral resources, geomechanics, geophysics, groundwater and environment, petrology and mineralogy, and paleontology.

Thesis

The thesis option focuses on graduate coursework and independent research. By the end of the program, you will have a written thesis and an oral presentation that defends your original work and contribution to the field of study.
