Technology Fellows Program
The Technology Fellows Program, funded by the State of South Dakota since FY2000, provides a unique opportunity for South Dakota Mines students to develop profession-level skills, learn to work in a team-based environment and to be fairly compensated while learning.
Tech Fellows spend most of their time manning the ITS Help Desk (located in the basement of the library), and serve as the first line for students and faculty/staff in regards to their computer issues.
Applications for the Program are found below. Applicants must be South Dakota residents and meet the GPA requirement. Benefits to the students selected to participate in this Fellowship include real-world technology experience and pay of up to $5,000
per academic year. Outside of the Tech Fellow program we also hire non-SD residents.
The Tech Fellow program follows guidelines instituted by the South Dakota Board of Regents, and is run as such. Tech Fellows are used in conjunction with the faculty/staff of South Dakota Mines, and if there are any questions about utilizing them,
