Applications can be considered after the stated deadlines in most programs, but timely admittance and/or funding may be affected. Self-funded international applicants are typically considered up to 90 days prior to the semester start date (60 days for
domestic U.S. applicants). If you submit an application package after the deadline and it cannot be processed in time for the semester requested, your application can be deferred to the next start date without any additional paperwork or fees.
Can't attend on campus? South Dakota Mines offers 3 Master of Science degree programs that can be taken via our Distance Education program, designed to accommodate the schedules of working professionals. (Certificate programs are also available for those seeking education to help propel existing careers.)
