Welcome to the faculty of South Dakota Mines! New faculty orientation has been developed to help you get ready for your first class, get to know who is who and what is where on campus, and learn the basics of how to get your new career at Mines started. New Faculty Orientation isn't just for your first week - OFDA is hosting New Faculty Fridays all semester for Teaching 101 and other sessions to help you get to know campus resources and opportunities.

Monday: Getting to Know Campus - McKeel Room, Surbeck Center

8:00 New Faculty Breakfast and welcome from the President

9:00 New Faculty FAQ - who and what you need to know to get things done on campus

10:00 The Campus Tour (bring your cell phone)

12:00 Lunch

1:00 What you need to know to succeed: Discussions with the Provost, Department Heads, and a Department Administrator

Tuesday - Getting Ready to Start the Semester - McKeel Room, Surbeck Center

10:00 Software, Spaces, Technology, & Support for Teaching

Thursday: Getting to Know Your Department

Friday: D2L Drop-in Clinic - PAC Meeting Rooms
