Peterson Hall
Completed in 2004 and updated in 2019, Peterson Hall houses almost 300 first-year and second-year students. Peterson Hall is connected to the Surbeck Student Center. Students who live in Peterson appreciate the fact that they do not have to go outside
to go to the dining hall or Miner's Shack. Peterson has a variety of different room styles including doubles, triples, quads, and study quads; all rooms come with beds that can be lofted using the provided lofting kit. Each room has a sink and there
are community bathrooms for the residents living in doubles and triples. Residents in quads and study quads have a private bathroom.
Peterson is home to the Peterson Interest Community program which features the following interest communities: Outdoor Pursuits and Exploring Rapid City. These communities are open to all new to South Dakota Mines residents as a housing option on the
housing agreement.
