STEM Summer Camps at South Dakota Mines

Join us at South Dakota Mines for our STEM summer day camps, where high school students* (and recent grads) get to dive into the exciting world of science and engineering!

You'll roll up your sleeves with hands-on experiments, embark on epic field trips, and learn from awesome professors who know what it's like to work in STEM careers. Plus, you'll be on a real college campus, getting a taste of what it's like to learn and explore at South Dakota Mines.

Camps are open to local teens and non-residents alike. While overnight accommodation is not included in the experience, there's no shortage of places to stay in the area, both on and off campus.

If you're coming from out of town or out of state, make it a family adventure! The Black Hills is the perfect setting for a summer getaway. Black Hills & Badlands and Visit Rapid City are fantastic resources to help you plan.

*Chemistry camp is also open to students entering 8^th grade.

Scholarships are available to students with demonstrated need for camps with a participation fee, but do not cover camps that require a deposit.
