High Plains Regional Science and Engineering Fair

The 60th Annual High Plains Regional Science and Engineering Fair (HPRSEF) will be  held on Monday, March 23, 2015 on the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology's campus.
 

Schedule of Events:
7:00 am to 9:00 am
Project check-in and set-up—All projects must be checked in at the King Center Lobby

7:00 am to 8:00 am
Judges check-in, Christensen Hall of Fame, King Center

8:00 am to 9:00 am
Judges breakfast and briefing, Christensen Hall of Fame, King Center

9:00 am to 10:00 am
Closed judging, 8th Grade and High School in King Center Gym, 6th & 7th Grades in Surbeck Center Ballroom

10:00 am to 12:30 pm
Student interviews/open judging, 8th Grade and High School in King Center Gym, 6th & 7th Grades in Surbeck Center Ballroom

12:30 pm to 1:30 pm
Lunch and deadline to turn in scores, lunch provided for judges only in Christensen Hall of Fame, King Center (students are on their own)

1:30 pm to 2:30 pm
Projects open to the public, 8th Grade and High School in King Center Gym, 6th & 7th Grades in Surbeck Center Ballroom

2:30 pm to 3:30 pm
Awards presentation, King Center Gym

3:30 pm to 4:30 pm
Project tear-down (projects left after 4:30 will be discarded)


Congratulations to Kyra Holzer from Timber Lake High School, the 2015 High Plains Regional Science and Engineering Fair overall winner for her project Is Academic Performance in Primary Grades an Indicator for Performance in Secondary Grades?  Kyra will be representing the High Plains area at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair in Pittsburgh, PA from May 11th through the 15th.
